The first student steps off the bus at Yosemite High School on September 9, 1976, the first day of school. Total enrollment that day: 421.

Anxiously awaiting the new Yosemite High School were freshmen-to-be Steve Wright, Rick Wright, Liz Jones and Janine Hodges. They attended the YHS groundbreaking on June 8, 1975.

With the students is District Superintendent Ken Savage.
