The Y water polo club kicked off practice Tuesday at the Baker Swim Complex on the campus of Yosemite HIgh School. The players are made up of students from seventh grade to seniors, with practice held from Tuesday through Thursday from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. until school lets out and then from 4 to 6 p.m. for the rest of the summer. The club is coached by YHS girls water polo head coach Brandon Brokaw and will continue practicing through the first week of August. Coach Brokaw said he also hopes to schedule games among other similar clubs. At upper right, goalie Collette Haggard keeps control of the ball, while above, players swim for position.
