Five
computer classes and a Chi-Tu-Do class will be held at Yosemite High
School starting in November through the Yosemite Adult Education program.

Intermediate Word will begin Thursday, Nov. 4, and continue through
Dec. 16 in Computer Lab 31 from 6-9 p.m.; cost is $30.
This five-week course will cover the advanced features of Word.
It is an intermediate course for the beginner who wants to learn more
about Word and how to do labels, graphics and newsletters.
Fast Internet will be held Tuesdays, Nov. 9 and 16, from 6-9 p.m.
in Computer Lab 31; cost is $20.
This two-week class covers the things people can do with high speed
Internet and how to protect oneself against common Internet threats.
Introduction to the Internet will meet Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m.
to noon in Computer Lab 32; cost is $20.
This will teach students how to get into the Internet and what to
do once they are there.
They will learn about e-mail and how to research topics.
Advanced Adobe Photoshop CS will start Monday, Nov. 22, and continue
through Dec. 20 in Computer Lab 32 from 6-9 p.m.; cost is $30.
A basic knowledge of Photoshop is required.
This five-week class will teach students to create special effects,
arrange layer objects, create links within an image, optimize web
images, and create rollover web visuals.
Advanced Adobe Illustrator CS will start Tuesday, Nov. 23, and continue
through Dec. 21 in Computer Lab 32 from 6 to 9 p.m.; cost is $30.
This five-week class will teach students to work with layers, draw
cylinders and boxes, print artwork and produce color separations,
combine Illustrator graphics with Photoshop images, and create a web
publication.
The Chi-Tu-Do class will start Tuesday, Nov. 23, and continue through
Thursday, Feb. 2.
This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the wrestling
room; cost is $75.
This 10-week class is taught by credentialed Black Belt instructors
and Masters.
This self-defense class is designed to help students of any age increase
their flexibility, stamina, cardiovascular condition and coordination.
Four different kinds of martial arts will be taught: Tae Kwon Do,
Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Escrima and Kung Fu. Students will work with weapons,
learn competition level sparring, work with heavy bags, do breaking
and target work, and learn on-the-ground self defense.
