THE BAND PLAYS ON

Students at Yosemite High School were treated to a special performance by a quintet of the US Air Force Band of the Golden West, representing the 349th Air Mobility Wing out of Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield. SSgt. Lindsey Bartlett, on bassoon, said the purpose for their visit was to get the word out about the reserves and what they do. Bartlett said, that they had about nine groups on a tour around the valley with about 10 to 12 performances between last Saturday and this Thursday.
