Fiormonti is back at work preparing for another year at Yosemite
High School.

is the athletic director for both the girls and boys athletic teams.
The sports for the fall: Football, varsity, junior varsity and freshman
teams. Girls’ volleyball includes varsity, J.V. and frosh teams.
Girls and boys cross-country, varsity J.V. and frosh teams. Also
included in fall athletics are girls tennis and girls golf. There
will be water sports at the newly finished YHS pool.
Fiormonti also has the responsibility of some the duties of assistant
principal. “There are many pluses in this job, especially the developing
communication with parents,” he said. He continued, “Telling a student
that he or she is scholastically ineligible is a ‘downer’ for me.
The students get excellent training at Yosemite High School and
being removed from a team is a regretful experience. We also have
some problems with club teams during the off-season. But we are
working to solve this problem.”
Fiormonti sees his job as aiding the athletic experience for the
players and the coaches.
The student population at Yosemite High school is approximately
1,275 students. Last year 535 students participated in athletics.
