| Approximately
300 volunteers are needed to be panel members for the Yosemite High School
Senior Projects.
The presentations will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19,
20 and 21 from 3-6:30 p.m. at Yosemite High. During that time, the volunteers
will review five project portfolios and listen to five senior presentations.
All YHS seniors have worked on Senior Projects this year. The project
includes a resume, a business letter, a research paper, a reflective paper,
a minimum of 24 hours of project activity and a cumulative portfolio.
The final assignment is a formal presentation in front of a four-member
panel of community volunteers, parents, teachers and staff members.
The purpose of the Senior Project is for a student to learn a new skill,
accomplish an educational goal or perform a service-oriented task.
Anyone interested in serving on the panel can e-mail ktarr@yosemiteuhsd.com
or michel@sierratel.com. Volunteers can also contact Kay Tarr or Tami
Michel through YHS, 683-4667.
