Over two days at four locations, public hearings will be conducted on
the Petition for the Reorganization by Unification of Coarsegold Union
School District and Yosemite Joint Union High School District.
On Wednesday, September 3, meetings will take place in two locations:
6 p.m. in the cafeteria of Raymond Knowles Elementary School 31828 Road
600, Raymond; and at 7:15 p.m. in the cafeteria/multi-prupose room of
Coarsegold Elementary School, 45426 Road 415, Coarsegold.
On Thursday, September 4 the two remaining meetings will be held: at 6:15
p.m. in the cafeteria/multi-purpose room of Oak Creek Intermediate School,
40094 Indian Springs Road, Oakhurs; and at 7:30 p.m. in the board room
of Yosemite Joint Union High School District, 50200 Road 427, Oakhurst.
At the meetings there will be an overview presented by the Madera County
Superintendent and staff on the process of the petition to reorganize.
This is an important chance for interested members of the public to participate
in this legal process. Reunification will have a significant impact on
the future of area schools.
