Papike attends gym regionals

MESA, Arizona — Courtney Papike, Yosemite High School freshman, finished 11th overall in the Level 8 division regional gymnastics meet held in Arizona at the end of April.

Competing for 40 possible points, Courtney accrued 36.55 points overall in four events.

Each event was worth 10 points. She earned 9.25 on vault, 9.15 on floor exercise, 9.25 on uneven bars and 9.025 on balance beam.

She competed against 371 Level 8 gymnasts representing 97 teams from four states. Courtney’s team is from the Clovis Academy of gymnastics, a self-supported program sponsored by the Clovis Unified School District.
