‘World theme’ for YHS music event

Treble Ensemble participants, costumed for the International Taste of the World event, include Anna Larson, Audreyann Dame, Melinda Aubin, Arianne Holmes and Sean Mills, choir director.

 

All of the choirs in the Yosemite High School Music Department will join together Thursday [May 30] to present an International Taste of the World.

The program will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the Drama Room at YHS.

Admission is $5 for the general public or $3 for students and seniors.

All of the performers will wear costumes as they perform music in a variety of languages. Among the languages in which the students will sing are Chinese, Zulu, French, Norweg­ian and “of course English Mad­rigals,” comments Ann White, music paraprofessional.

International foods will be sold at tasting tables.

The choirs participating in the event are the Chamber Sing­ers, Yosemite Voices, Treble Ensemble and Concert Choir.
