A TRUE FISH STORY

Submitted

Ryan Fullerton, 14, a Yosemite High School freshman, caught this 285-pound Pacific blue marlin this summer in Maui while on vacation with his family. It took him 45 minutes to reel it in, and he was the only person from 15 boats who caught a marlin that day.

That morning he told his mother, “I’m gong to catch a fish.” His father testifies that “The sweat was just pouring off him,” as Ryan worked on bringing in the fish. The fish was later cut up and donated to the needy on the Hawaiian island.
