Students plant daffodils

Submitted

Students at Ahwahnee High School recently planted 100 daffodils along 50 yards of the River Parkway behind their school. The 15 students completed this community service project in conjunction with the Vision Academy of the Arts and the River Parkway Committee to beautify the parkway.

Prior to planting the bulbs, students were given detailed instructions on planting and fertilizing the plants by local landscaper Ronna Adler. She also talked to them about deer resistant plants.

Ms. Adler supplied fertilizer for the project and Vision Academy and the River Parkway Committee donated the daffodil bulbs.
