Practice makes perfect, and these Yosemite High School musicians in Carey Hurst’s instrumental music class want to make sure everything goes just right for the Winter Concerts set for December 12‑13.

Instrumental and choral performances by the Yosemite High School Music Department will be presented at a Winter Concert on December 12 and 13.

The first concert will be held Thursday, December 12 at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church in Oakhurst at 7 p.m. The second presentation of the concert will be at Mountain Christian Center on Friday, December 13, also at 7 p.m.

Carey Hurst, instrumental music teacher at YHS, is enthusiastic about the upcoming event. “There will be a variety of music, including Polish Christmas music,” she said. She also mentioned a Huron Indian tune that will be presented and a Christmas sing‑along.

During intermission, refreshments will be served.

Advanced sale tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for children and students. At‑the‑door tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children and adults.

Tickets are available at Dorsey’s Hallmark, Oakhurst Frameworks or call the Yosemite High School Music offices at 683‑4667, extension 242 (for choir) or extension 243 (for band).
