Spend loose change at band night

The band is encouraging everyone to collect all their spare change and come to the band’s fund-raiser at the Hitching Post on Wednesday, February 13.

 

AHWAHNEE — A spa­ghetti dinner and evening of games and entertainment for the whole family are in the plans for Yosemite High School band’s fund-raiser winter fund-raiser, “Two Bits for the Band.”

It will be held on Wednesday, February 13, at the Hitching Post, 42592 Highway 49, from 5 to 10 p.m.

In addition to the dinner, there will be video games, coin tosses, carnival games, pinball games and raffles. A large variety of coin-operated games including early classics and a nickel candy vendor machine with bonus prize tickets mixed in with the candy will be available for the evening.

Music will come from a classic-style juke box.

The band is trying to finance a trip to Disneyland for a music clinic in March.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for teen-agers and seniors. They may be purchased from any YHS band member, Oakhurst Frameworks, Dorsey’s Hallmark or Dan Kra­mer at 683-5515.

All proceeds will go the YHS Band for their clinic, uniforms and equipment.
