Yosemite High School District

Steve Raupp, principal of Yosemite High School, has been elected to the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) Executive Committee. He is one of seven members on the statewide committee that determines the direction of the CIF.

The California group is affiliated with the Federation of High School Associations and each state has representatives at the regional and national level.

The seven members of the executive committee work with the state CIF president, serving as a steering committee to engage in strategic planning and determining the direction of the organization.

Mr. Raupp is the CIF Central Section president. He serves on the state Quality of Officiating Committee and was an official for the CIF Cross Country Championships for four years.

He has also served on the Central Section advisory committees in football and track and field and was a member of the Ethics in Sports Committee.

Mr. Raupp began his career as a teacher and coach at Indio High School in 1975.

He came to YHS in 1978 and served as athletic director from 1984-90. He was an assistant principal at YHS from 1990 until 1998 when he was named principal.

Mr. Raupp coached football, track and field and wrestling at YHS. His football teams earned three league championships and the track and field teams won six league titles.

He was named Coach of the Year several times and he was the head football coach for the CIF Central California All-Star Football Game.
