Several computer courses offered

 

Yosemite Adult Education will conduct six computer classes beginning in October. Pre-registration is recommended. [See “Two CPR classes,” this page, for registration information.]

 

“Beginning Word” will be held at Foothill High School along Yosemite Springs Parkway in Coarsegold. The class begins on Tuesday, October 2 and continues through Tuesday, October 16, from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $30.

 

The following classes will all be held at Yosemite High School:

 

·        Beginning Windows will be held Tuesdays, October 2 and 9, from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $15. This two-week seminar will teach the beginning student how to use Windows 98.

·        Intermediate Digital Photography Photoshop 6.0 will meet Tuesdays, October 9 through November 13, from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $30. A basic knowledge of Photoshop is prerequisite.

·        Intermediate Digital Videography will meet on Thursdays from October 11 to November 15, from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $30. Includes editing techniques, special effects and more.

·        Introduction to the Internet will be held on Saturday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, at a cost of $15.

·        Print Shop will meet on Tuesday, October 23, from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $15. Students will learn how to create greeting cards, signs, banners, letterheads and calendars.

 

Two CPR classes

 

The Yosemite Adult Education program will be offering two cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes in October. Pre-registration is recommended for both classes.

The first course, “CPR and Safety for Infants and Children,” will be held Wednesday, October 10 from 6-9 p.m., at Yosemite High School. The cost is $10.

The second class, “Cardio­pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid,” is scheduled for Monday, October 15, and Wednesday, October 17, from 6-9:30 p.m. The cost is also $10.
