Local residents interested in helping develop the vision for the Yosemite Joint Union High School District swimming pool project are invited to a Pool Committee meeting Wednesday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the board room on the Yosemite High School campus. The boardroom is located in the administration building.

The swimming pool is one of the projects being completed with funds from the bond that was approved by voters in 1998.

District Superintendent Bill McCabe stresses the importance of local residents being involved in this process. Among the things to be considered will be the possibility of forming a recreation district or maintenance district to help with the upkeep of the pool.

"Residents told us that the swimming pool was one of the highest priorities when we conducted surveys prior to the bond election," Mr. McCabe said. "A community swimming pool has been a high priority in this area for many years. We are pleased to be able to provide this for the community and it is crucial that we have input from the residents."

Those who plan to attend the meeting are asked to call Joanne Pitts at 683-8801 extension 348 to sign up for the committee.
