YHS board officers

Dennis Adams was elected president of the Yosemite Joint Union School District Board of Trustees at the annual organizational meeting December 14. Tom Allcock was elected clerk and Bert McSwain was appointed to represent the district on the executive board of the Madera County School Boards Association.

Mr. Allcock, David Hartesveldt and Karen Hutchings were sworn in for another term on the board. Mr. Allcock and Mrs. Hutchings were not opposed in the November election. Mr. Hartesveldt was elected in a contest with Ginny Burdick.

Mr. Adams represents Oakhurst on the board and has served since 1993; Mr. McSwain has represented Bass Lake since 1988; Mr. Allcock has represented Ahwahnee since 1989; Mrs. Hutchings has represented Raymond since 1990 and Mr. Hartesveldt has represented Coarsegold since 1996.
