Classes in stock investing, beginning Word and introduction to the Internet are being offered through Yosemite Adult Education. Pre-registration is recommended for these classes; call the Adult Education office, 683-8801 ext. 303, between 6 and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday or between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday.

Stock Investing starts Wednesday, November 1, and continues through December 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Yosemite High School; cost is $35. Students will learn how to identify quality utility stocks, blue chip stocks and dynamic growth stocks. The course is for the beginning or advanced stock investor and is taught in simple language.

Topics for the course will include stock research material, methods of analyzing stocks and the psychology of successful investing.

Beginning Word starts Thursday, November 9 and continues through December 14 from 6-9 p.m. at Yosemite High School; cost is $30. This five-week course covers the features of Word, which is a word processing software. This is a basic course for those who have no computer experience.

Introduction to the Internet will be held Saturday, November 4, from 9 a.m. to noon at Foothill High School on Yosemite Springs Parkway in Coarsegold; cost is $15. Students will learn how to get into the Internet and what to do once they are there. They will learn about e-mail and how to search a certain topic.
