The YJUHSD Web site (www.yosemiteuhsd.com) was the original vision
of Superintendent Bill McCabe and has been active for five years.
A team of students designed the initial format. I was hired as the
Web Master three years ago to insure the information is updated regularly.
I thoroughly enjoy keeping up with all the school activities, events,
staff information and technological improvements. There are over a
thousand pages in our Web site to manage and update.
When you visit our Web site you will be able to keep track of the
many facets that make up the wonderful programs offered at all the
Yosemite District campuses.
Last year I designed the Coarsegold District Web site (www.coarsegoldusd.com)
featuring elementary school information and a site (www.yosemiteuhsd.com/pool/)
for the Mountain Area Community Swimming Pool.

~The top scroller will have current events and
will be used for snow day advisory information.
~ Current local area weather information can be
accessed from the NOAA National Weather Service link.
~ Search the World Wide Web and our local school
district site with the Google search. The Google search section
allows you to choose the WWW or search yosemiteuhsd.com individually.
~ I have recently updated the YHS campus map with
current configurations and proposed improvements. Click on the “MAP”
for a tour of our campus. This is also available in a downloadable
Adobe Acrobat PDF file (be sure and set your printer setup to landscape
on legal paper).

~ View Yosemite High School information by clicking
on the Yosemite High School, a California Distin-guished School
text and go immediately to YHS information, departments, history,
reunion information and bond updates. The YHS Student/Parent Handbook
is located in this section.
~ The Award Ribbon takes you directly to the Local
Community award application form and application criteria information.
~ The Map icon will take you to a link for the
new campus map and other local area maps and information.
~ The pausing scroll-up menu takes you to various
current information connections.
Menu Link Notes:
School Board - Agendas, Minutes for regular and
special meetings. Unification Information from articles and presentations
can be found in the School Board and News Sections.
Staff Directory - Meet all our staff members. Many
have developed their own Web site with information specific to their
classes or projects. In the Staff Directory click on the Staff Web
Site link and check out their sites.
Library - Access the Library Catalog online, links
to encyclopedias, journals, facts, plagiarism site, Madera County
Library and other online resources.
Calendars - This section contains the annual school
calendar, the master calendar of events and the monthly Sports/Activity
Calendars. The monthly calendars are updated regularly and contain
links to special events and schedules.
News - Contains links to the archive of District
news articles in the Sierra Star, plus the School News editions.
What’s Up with Kids will take you to current campus
activities, and an archive from previous years.
Sports - Join the YHS Badger for links to all the
YHS sports teams. You will find Sports Schedules, Sierra Star Articles,
and links to sport specific Web sites developed by local coaches.
Fine Arts - Keep up with the Music, Drama and Art
departments’ activities and productions. Learn about eScrip and
how you can support local school programs. The Music Department
has added its Choral Schedule and there will be ongoing chapters
to “The History of Rock” for students to access. Incredible student
art from the Badger Gallery is posted regularly.
Food Service - Find the current cafeteria menus,
lunch schedule, information on the Free and Reduced lunch program,
and the annual welcome/information letter.
Human Resources - Current employment positions,
downloadable applications, Certificated and Classified bargaining
agreements and salary schedules are posted. Also links to various
community information sites.
Transportation - Current bus and special bus schedules
posted regularly. The annual Inservice training event information
is posted here.
YCEC - The Yosemite Community Education Center
has all the Adult Education classes listed in the Catalog link.
Registration form, general information, calendar and campus map
can be found here too.
SARC - School Account-ability Reports Cards for
all schools can be accessed in this section.
Coarsegold Union School District
This
site showcases Coarsegold Elementary, Rivergold Elementary and CUSD
Home School information, newsletters, calendars, and School Board
meetings. Bus schedules, cafeteria menus, staff directory, Sierra
Star News articles, employment information/applications are also
available to keep you up-to-date with the Coarsegold area schools.

Pool Site
The
Mountain Area Community Swimming Pool site has pictures, facts,
history, and news articles about the upcoming construction of the
swimming pool on the YHS campus. Yes, it’s really going to happen!
